Got to be Aishwarya !

Acting by the list of things "To Do - before Graduating", I wanted to see a Theatre Performance at NCPA/ Prithvi. Though i have seen a couple of theatre performances at IITB during Mood Indigo, i found it much different at NCPA. Its like, you buy a buy a 2 Rs ticket and see an elephant at the zoo, or you go on a wildlife expedition and watch him standing in the middle of the river, taking a bath with his extended family. Point i want to emphasize is the difference in the "milieu".

The play we watched was "Got to be Aishwarya", starring Tom Alters. Its a play about a Father-daughter relationship, with the girl searching for her father who estranged her two decades ago ( A rather un-apt title ). I found it moving and comic at the same time. Post the performance had a nice stroll on Marine Drive and dinner at Pizzeria, no better way to spend a Sunday evening.

Tid-Bits :
  • NCPA is located at the end of Marine Drive at Nariman Drive, Walking distance from Church Gate station.
  • Tickets cost Rs 200 per person ! ( little expensive but better then draining 150 Rs on a movie )
  • Not to miss the Art Connoisseurs and their etiquette's, who visit the place in droves.
